Choosing us to rebuild your Yaskawa motor USAFED-13-YB11 ensures that it will first be carefully evaluated to determine if it is faulty. Motor Ke (back e.m.f.), brake torque, and the encoder will all be tested with a variety of diagnostic instruments.
After disassembly and cleaning, the windings will be checked with a digital surge tester, and DC hi-pot. Critical mechanical dimensions will be measured with micrometers, and all test results become part of the permanent record of the motor in our database.
If the motor winding has failed, the old winding will be carefully reverse engineered before being stripped and rewound according to our demanding winding process.
Worn mechanical components will be fabricated or re-furbished by our expert machinists. Our machine shop is fully equipped with lathes, mills, and precision grinding equipment.
Rotating components will be precision balanced on one of our Schenck Trebel hard bearing balancing machines.
New bearings, seals, and any other required parts will be installed during assembly, and the feedback device will be aligned. Mechanical assembly tolerances such as shaft and flange runout will be verified to be within factory tolerances. Finally the motor will be subjected to our thorough test protocol, checked for excessive noise or temperature, and vibration levels recorded.

Replacement of worn and defective parts such as bearings, encoders, connector plugs, sockets and housing parts.
Overhaul and testing of all levels e.g. smooth running, feedback to CNC, insulation measurement, heating up.
The engine was tested on the engine test system with an original drive for a prolonged period of time.
Thorough cleaning: where required, the old paint was removed and the relevant surface was repainted.
